In Devil’s Territory

Still in desire to sins of my past With the actions far gone But the intentions stead fast Freed my body from Egypt Yet my soul still remained Imprisoned by vices That keep me enslaved To wander this desert For forty plus years With nothing to show for but Shackles of fear And thoughts just to make me Stray further from You and further from light and far further from truth No longer well worth it This well splits apart With troubles that fill up My dryness of heart Please stop me from feeding this Demonic brute Dig deep down my heart Lord And go after the root

To Calvary

What we heard in consolation We do not abandon in desolation In our moments of frustration Our Lord meets us with full patience He reminds us of the joy That we traded for our loss And gives us hope again As we carry up our cross
