I’ll swim to the surface
Evading the drown
I’ll come up for air
When I’m being dragged down
On the surface I seem
To have it thought out
But the interior screams
A voice of self-doubt
I’ll change all my shouts
For pleas out to You
With every new breath
My lungs now consume
Inhaling more life
Exhaling less stress
I’ll float on Your surface
And here I’ll find rest
