Discouragement took
This moment too far
Causing all now to look
At my visible scars
Are these now the signs
That define who I am
They could be in time
If I allow the thought to sink in
Identity crisis
Won’t seize and convey
The lie never rises
And I won’t fall for this game
I know who I am
When others do not
Truth will win where I stand
